OFFICERS

Scott Resnick, DDS, is an endodontist at NYCEndodontics in the Lenox Hill area of Manhattan. He is proud to provide high-quality care to patients in New York City.
 
Dr. Resnick was born and raised in New York. He graduated from Queens College and then went to Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. While attending Tufts, he also went to Harvard Extension School, where he received a graduate certificate in business. He then attended New York University, where he received a postgraduate degree in endodontics. He started practicing dentistry in 1988.
 
Shortly after graduating, Dr. Resnick began teaching at Mount Sinai Hospital. In 1991, he became Chief of Endodontics at the hospital, a position he held for 23 years. Dr. Thomas Zicarelli joined him in 1991. They are now joined by Dr. Jennifer Donelson, Dr. Randolph Todd, and Dr. Christina Boyd.They pride themselves on using the most sophisticated techniques, equipment, and materials and they constantly strive towards excellence.

Dr. Daniel Kerrigan is a Diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontics. He earned his DMD from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, where he graduated with honors in Clinical Dentistry and received the Dr. Earle Banks Hoyt Award for excellence in teaching. After dental school, he completed specialty training in Prosthodontics at Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine. While at Montefiore, he received the Leo M. Davidoff Society Award for outstanding achievement in the teaching of medical students. He is a Fellow of the American College of Prosthodontists and a Fellow of the Greater New York Academy of Prosthodontics. Dr. Kerrigan maintains a private practice with Dr. Vincent Celenza in New York City.

Stephanie Chu received her dental degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine graduating with honors in clinical dentistry. She then completed a General Practice Residency at the Manhattan Veterans Affairs Hospital, which was followed by three years of Post-Graduate Periodontics & Implantology education at the joint program between New York University and the Manhattan Veterans Affairs Hospital, where she also served as chief resident.

 

She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and is an active member in the American Academy of Periodontology. She has published numerous articles within the field of clinical research and currently maintains a private practice in Manhattan and is an adjunct clinical professor at the Manhattan Veterans Affairs Post-Graduate Periodontics Department

Dr. Hector Sarmiento stands as a beacon of excellence in the realm of periodontal surgery, adorned with a multitude of prestigious accolades and achievements. His journey to mastery began at the University of Rochester, where he earned his degree of Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree, setting the stage for his illustrious career.

What sets Dr. Sarmiento apart is his unparalleled expertise in both maxillofacial surgery and periodontics, a rare combination that positions him as a true visionary in the field. Currently holding esteemed positions as an Assistant Clinical Professor in periodontics at the University of Pennsylvania and as a professor in the trauma and reconstructive unit at the Regional Hospital in Mexico, his influence spans across continents, shaping the future of dental education and practice.

Dr. Richard Sousa brings a unique set of skills to dentistry. He is not only a highly skilled dentist but also a talented dental technologist. Dr. Sousa’s dual skills in dentistry and technology help him achieve unparalleled levels of clinical excellence

He began his career as a laboratory technologist when he was twelve years old working in his father’s dental lab after school. He continued in the laboratory industry throughout college and for several years afterward, developing his skills and reputation as a ceramist, laboratory manager, consultant, and lecturer. At the age of thirty, he made the decision to go to dental school.

Dr. Sousa graduated from New York University College of Dentistry in 1989 followed by a residency in Cranio Mandibular Disorders-also at NYU. Dr Sousa earned his CDT in 1983 and later received his MDT from the American Society of Master Dental Technologists where he also taught for many years.

He serves as an Attending Doctor in the General Practice Residency- Implant and Advanced Restorative Fellowship at Northwell North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset NY.

He is an Active Member of the Academy of Osseointegration and a Sustaining Member of The American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.

Dr Sousa is a Fellow of the Northeastern Gnathological Society.
